This week Year 3 have been looking at Newspaper Reports. They identified the features of them, planned, wrote and edited their articles. They were working hard to include paragraphs in their work. Here are some examples of their 'Year 3 Reports'. Year 3 Report They have been in year 3 for 4 weeks. In year 3 they have been learning about Stone Age. In Maths they have been trying to get their red and yellow badges. They also have been doing Abacus for their homework. They have also been doing word problems. One child said “Times table badges are easy”. Another said “Times table badges are hard”. In English they have been writing diaries about a book called Stone Age boy. In English they have been identifying features of a newspaper report. In their topic they have been sketching in their sketch books with charcoal. In their art they have been doing paper mache! On balloons they have to make it rock solid so they can make Stone Age animal masks. Year 3 Report St. Mary’s pupils have been back for 4 weeks. In year 3 they have been learning about the Stone Age. In Maths they have been trying to get their red and yellow badges. One child said “This is easy”. In their Maths they have been learning their 4 times tables. In English they have been writing a Stone Age diary about an adventure. They have been learning hard spellings in their spelling books with little diaries. In their topic they have been looking at chocolate rocks. On their playground they have been doing cave paintings. They are learning about the Stone Age and now the Bronze Age. On Tuesday they have been going swimming. Year 3 are looking forward to seeing what else happens this year! Year 3 Report Year 3 have been learning about the Stone Age and have been in year 3 for 4 weeks. Class 8 have been trying to get their times table badges which were easy! They’ve been learning their 3 and 4 times tables. The Children have been learning spellings and doing tests. This week they’ve been doing a diary entry about the stone age. As well as art they have been learning about rocks and used chocolate. Afterwards they tasted some chocolate in class. They also did some cave paintings of animals and stone age tools. Also they have been learning to make paper mache. Year 3 Report St Mary’s pupils have been back at school for 4 weeks. In year 3 they have been learning about the Stone Age. In Maths they have been trying to get their times table badges. The badges they have got are red and yellow badges. Year 3 have been trying to add and subtract some numbers. In year 3’s topic they have been learning about the Stone Age. Year 3 have been having yummy chocolate in topic when learning about what rocks are like. Year 3 have been learning about different textures of rocks. In English year 3 they have been learning about a Stone Age boy book. They wrote diary entries about a Stone Age boy adventures. They’re learning really hard spellings by watching videos. Year 3 goes swimming on Tuesday because that’s the only day they are free. Some people are in the deep end and some are in the shallow end. They started going swimming about 3 weeks ago and it ends at Easter.
